City Wok In The News
Restaurant Hospitality, a leading foodservice and hospitality trade publication, has named City Wok restaurants one of its “Concepts of Tomorrow.”
For nearly a decade, Restaurant Hospitality editors have been featuring up-and-coming foodservice concepts that are destined to be an industry force. Kara Gebhart, author of the magazine’s January cover feature, writes that...
“City Wok, with its prepared-to-order format, personifies the future of the quick-casual restaurant.”
An emerging group of concepts referred to as “quick casual” or “fast casual” has grown dramatically in recent years. These limited service concepts tend to have a more up-scale menu, higher average check, and more sophisticated interiors than traditional quick-service restaurants. The “quick casual” concept is viewed as having the most significant growth opportunity in the foodservice industry.
Today’s diners desire high quality, flavorful menu items, and their busy lifestyles create a need for speed and convenience. Also, restaurant patrons want more value for their money, a variety of customizable dining options, and premium ingredients.
City Wok has mastered all of these elements.
“We’re thrilled that Restaurant Hospitality has chosen us as one of their Concepts of Tomorrow,” said Mr. Davis. “It’s an encouragement that our hard work and dedication to our community and our employees is paying off, and that we’re on the right track toward an even more successful future for our company.”
